The Friends’ Services
Since 1969 The Friends have provided additional funding to finance medical equipment and improve wards, waiting areas and clinics at Kirkcaldy hospitals.
We are here to fill the gap when your ideas do not qualify for funding by NHS departmental budgets. In these circumstances, hospital staff should get in touch with The Friends.
The Friends Support Your Services
We support NHS services in Kirkcaldy Hospitals
The founding of the NHS on 5th July 1948 was a huge milestone in our national history. It gave millions of people the chance of a healthier life.
The new national service faced real challenges in delivering health services for all, free at point of delivery.
And it still does today,
given the fiscal constraints of our times!
The Friends of Kirkcaldy Hospitals was born out of the desire to support NHS Fife to provide quality care in well equipped health care environments which have a positive impact on patient care and staff engagement.
