Limited funding? We can help!
Since 1969, The Friends have provided additional funding to finance medical equipment and improve faciliities for patients and staff at Kirkcaldy hospitals.
Wards, waiting areas and clinics have been refurbished and specialist, technical and medical equipment has been purchased with support from The Friends.
We are here to fill the gap when ideas and projects do not qualify for funding under the strict criteria of NHS departmental budgets. In these circumstances hospital staff should get in touch with The Friends.

at Victoria Hospital and Whytemans Brae Hospital
Supporting Kirkcaldy Hospitals
The Friends support the patients and staff of Victoria Hospital and Whytemans Brae Hospital by providing funds for facilities, equipment, staff training and patient comfort.
Since 1969 we have made financial support available to both hospitals in numerous projects, ranging from toys for the Children’s Ward to finance for the Stroke Unit.
We can help with all kinds of projects! So if you have ideas that require full or partial funding, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Fund-Raising for Kirkcaldy Hospitals
Fundraising is an important, ongoing activity for The Friends and the effectiveness of our work depends on the continual generosity of the people of Kirkcaldy and of Fife.
Over the years our funds have also benefited from generous individual legacies and bequests which have significantly increased our support for Kirkcaldy hospitals.
